Last few months I have I have been following the program Slayer from Slay Strong set up for me and I can’t say enough good things about this program. I lift heavy and have done so for years, even competed in powerlifting so when my gym lifts were getting stronger in the end I got to admit I was a little surprised. We didn’t shoot for a fat loss plan but his diet guidelines helped me for body composition and I lost fat, really tightening up my midsection. All while adding some muscle size, so I think he nailed it. He really hit the sweet spot for volume and intensity. Hey, what’s up Slayer Family! I’m Greg, you can find me at @GregoryLongacre. I’ve been on the Slay Strong program for 6 full weeks and I’ve lost 28lbs that averages to 4.6lbs a week. The meal plan put together by Coach keeps me fed and not starving like most diets. Slayer said I should expect 3-4lbs a week and I glad I’m at the top end of that. Every other thing I’ve tried had me losing weight but also compromise my strength. This program is the COMPLETE OPPOSITE! Every week I’m getting stronger. I’ve already out grown my home set up and need to get more weight. Let me just give an example. Overhead shoulder press went from 95lbs to 130lbs. He told me this would happen, but I didn’t think by just week 6. The best thing about it is that anytime I have questions about anything I can chat through the app and get a fast response and he even reaches out to me to hold me accountable.
